Exhibition Project Leader
My journey begun when a good friend of mine working at Firefly suggested I apply for the role as an Exhibition Project Leader. He had only good things to say about the company and everyone working there, but he was also sure that the role would fit me really well. I was curious but still a bit hesitant since I wasn’t really looking for a new job at the time. But my curiosity took over when I started hearing more from other people at the company and also read more about what Firefly does and stand for. What really drew me in was the idea of working in a small, close-knit team that plays a central role within the company, but also the chance to really make use of my skills, be part of something bigger, and grow with a company that’s expanding fast.
I’ve had the chance to be a part of developing new workflows and routines that have had a positive impact on our team. I have also had the opportunity to work on some side projects I didn’t think I’d be doing, and I’ve grown way faster than I first expected. This is something that have contributed to me feeling appreciated and that I’m making a real difference here, which is important to me.
During my time here I’ve done a lot of different projects. This includes travelling to some of our larger exhibitions to get everything ready for the opening and make sure everything runs smoothly throughout the event. We have even built our own booth from scratch for an exhibition in Gothenburg, which was a really fun experience.
When you are out on events, meeting customers that shares their stories about how Firefly has made a positive impact in their everyday lives, I know we are on the right track.
Since we work globally, handling different time zones, languages, and cultures add a lot of variety and unexpected challenges, but that’s one of the things that makes it so exciting. We always come together as a team to find a solution, and that’s the best part.
Firefly is a great place for growth and development. Every day brings new challenges, and I’m often working on tasks outside of my usual expertise, which I find exciting. It’s a great mix of work tasks, and I know that if I want to, I can continue growing into different areas. I also really appreciate that my skills and knowledge are valued and taken into account, which motivates me to keep developing.
The sense of team work at Firefly is something special, that I have not experienced before. There’s a warm, welcoming vibe where everyone helps each other out. Whether it’s a barbecue, lunch, or game night, there’s a real sense of community. From day one, I felt this warmth.
If you’re thinking about working at Firefly, I’d say go for it! I’ve recommended others to apply here because I genuinely enjoy working here. If you’re looking for a place where you can grow and feel that your work matters, Firefly might be the place for you.
One of the things I really appreciate is the flexibility. Being able to work from home makes it easier to find a better work life balance, and that’s a huge plus. I find that Firefly is flexible as long as you get your work done, which is something I value more than I initially expected.
In marketing, we work closely with almost every department, which gives you a better understanding of the company as a whole. Since we all have the same goals, there’s a natural willingness to help each other. The open-door culture makes it easy to communicate, and decision-making is often straightforward.
We are involved in so many aspects of the company. To name a few we work together with the Sales team to create all the marketing material, collaborate with R&D on 3D images and exhibition demos, and with HR we continue to develop our employer branding. It naturally builds a broad network within the company, which is great, especially when you’re new.
The impact we make on society is also a huge part of why I’m here. More people are recognizing the importance of good fire protection. Our work helps prevent fires, reduce hazardous emissions, and maybe most importantly, save lives. That’s what Firefly is all about.
